TCC Volunteer Team Introduced Energy Related Knowledge to School Kids in the Fangyuan area of Changhua.
Warmly greeted by the summer orchestra: cicadas, TCC's volunteer team visited Caohu Elementary School again. Building upon last semester's theme of renewable energy and electricity knowledge, the volunteers guided the children through four picture books: Mottainai Grandma, King Leonard's Teddy, The World in a Box, and Walk of the Whales. These books helped the children explore issues related to "SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production" and "SDG 14: Life Below Water," emphasizing the importance of resource conservation and how all human production and consumption behaviors are closely tied to the natural environment.
After the picture book readings, it was time for hands-on activities. Some classes painted beautiful colors on whales, some reused cardboard boxes to make table hockey games, and others recycled paper cups to create colorful spinning tops. Together with the students of Caohu Elementary, the volunteer team enjoyed a rich and engaging journey of resource conservation.
